My Thoughts on "Hide Me Darling" (The Darling Games Series #2) By Maree Rose

This is the 2nd book in The Darling Games series and I'm here for this series!

I loved this book just as much as the first one. This one is about one of the Daughters of the original main characters in the first book. Hydessa is following in her parents footsteps but more specifically her mother. However she isn't FBI, she is a police officer that also works for her family's business. She is going undercover to catch a serial killer. If you like MFM and why choose this is for you!

This does have some tropes and is kind of dark in the romance portion. This one did follow the first one in the way of talking about their darkness and I wasn't here for that portion. I did like how everything went full circle. The banter and the way the book tells the story from all of the main characters perspective is very well done.

I loved the book and I didn't read the troupe warnings so there was a few scenes that made me do a double take and check in with myself. So you may want to check those but if you don't you may be okay. But they weren't to graphic and Maree tastefully wrote them, so they were not intensely triggering.

I loved that Maree in this one gave us a taste of the next book but before she did that she warned you and gave you the time/option to not move forward especially since there's a big time gap between when this book was completed and out and book 3. With that being said this is a 5/5 book for me and I can't wait for book 3.

Fav Quotes:

"I've spent 17 years..... obsessed with you, your body, mind...I want to devour you. Possess you.. I'll never be a gentleman. I'm the needy orphan who begs for more.. "

"I've always believed there is a place for everyone, even if it's not where you expect. We don't all find our place, but those that do know it right away. It's the same with people too."

"I believe that everyone has people out there that they are meant to connect with whether as friends or partners in life. Sometimes it's not where you expect to find them. Not everyone finds that connection, but when you do, you'll know it. Just like finding your place in a community."  *This one hit me right in the feels!*

Over All Rating: 5/5, Spice Rating: 5/5, Book or Audio: Book
