My Thoughts on "The Pucking Wrong Number" - By C.R. Jane

I had very high expectations with this book after seeing so much about it on TikTok. It did not disappoint me. This book had me on edge with the amount of red flags that Lincoln was flying around him. The spice in this one is a hard 5/5 and I originally had my doubts how this could be a dark romance with it also being a hockey romance but C.R Jane knocked this out of the park!

Lincoln who is a big shot hockey star ends up falling for this "nobody" Monroe. I loved how C.R Jane managed to tastefully provide us a picture of Monroe's struggles with her childhood and the things she went through. I also loved how she gracefully wrote how those things still effected her as an adult and how she worked through them. Lincoln turned his curiosity into a over the top obsession very quickly and I was weirdly here for it.

This book does have some triggers that you may want to look into. There was a few things I was not as comfortable with but it didn't discourage me from finishing the book. This is part of a whole series and even though I did love this book, I'm not sure I want to dive that hard into this big of a series just yet.

I also am a huge fan of how this was written. If you've read any of my other post you know I love when books are written from all main character point of views, but this one was split in places mid chapter. Which gave the whole book a more intimate feel and allowed yo u really to picture the scene.

Fav quotes:

"The picture that came in then, it was life changing. Like my DNA had been rewritten. Like my stars had rearranged themselves. I didn’t believe in love at first sight. I didn’t believe in love at all. But if I could have, I would have fallen in love with the girl in that picture." Lincoln Daniels

"When your girlfriend is the hottest woman on the planet, you don’t take chances. Meeting you on a plane—that’s fucking romance book shit. Not happening." - Lincoln Daniels

"You can feel love for anyone. What I feel for you is pain. Knowing that a part of my F*ing soul is living outside of my body and now that I've found it, I'll die if I ever lose it. That's what we have. Love is a shadowed imitation for people unlucky enough to never find their soulmates." - Lincoln Daniels
